During the 1,370 days I spent struggling with visas, uncertainty, and endless job applications, I wrote an article about the international student experience.
I shared thoughts I had never told anyone beforeβthe fears, the shame, and the quiet belief that maybe I just wasn't good enough.
For a long time, I thought my inability to find a job was a personal failure.
But after reading thousands of messages and comments, I realized something important:
I am not alone.
There are tens of thousands of international students carrying the same fears, facing the same barriers, and questioning themselves in the same way.
Maybe the problem was never that we weren't good enough.
Maybe we were simply navigating a system that was never designed to be easy.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read, comment, share, or send a kind message.
Your support meant more than you know.
To anyone still searching, still waiting, and still doubting themselves:
please don't give up.
We'll find our place.
And one day, we'll look back and realize that all of this was part of the journey.
